A round of Thrill of the Chase

Grab it. Hold it. Run.

Race

Launch road

3, 2, 1, GO. A 1.2 km elevated road with a hairpin, two garage spirals and boost pads to fight over, then the launch strip through the tunnel into the arena.

Grab

Take the thrill

First car to touch the thrill holds it, and the road seals behind them. While you hold it your thrill meter fills and never drains. You can't boost with the thrill, so drive.

Steal

Ram the thrill car

A hard hit from a chaser wrecks the thrill car and hands the thrill over. Hit a wall at full speed and you wreck too. First to fill their meter wins.

NEO-TAG: a neon stadium with glowing corners at nightPlayable

Standard arena

Neo-Tag

A 384 m neon stadium. A second floor rises in every corner, behind glass walls three galleries of spectators watch, and each corner glows its own color: cyan, magenta, amber and green.

CITY-SCAPE: a sunny city plaza arena by the waterIn development

Busy metropolitan

City-Scape

Daytime Miami Beach. Race a 1.4 km causeway over the bay through 1980s traffic, then fight for the thrill on a plaza ringed by a highway, with a parking garage, a waterpark slide, a cruise ship and a pirate wreck. Smash the lamps and umbrellas on your way.

CORAL-COVE: a tropical island with beaches and cliffsIn development

Tropical lagoon

Coral-Cove

Swoop down a half-pipe road past sea stacks and waterfalls, through a slot canyon and off a cliff onto an island built around a giant figure 8, with a rock-arch bridge, hidden waterfall paths and jumps across the lake.

Moves

Tricks of the chase

  • Trick landings. Land a full flip or barrel roll on your wheels for a free boost. Double flips boost longer.
  • Drift. Hold LB or RB to slide the back out and turn tighter.
  • Rock it back over. On your roof? Push the right stick left and right to rock the car and throw it back onto its wheels.
  • Boost pads. Every glowing pad adds 25% boost, then goes dark for 20 seconds.
  • Self-destruct. Wedged somewhere? Hold D-pad up to blow up and respawn.
  • Know where everyone is. Every other car is marked on your screen with a name tag and distance.
